Top striker Thomas Mair: The poker game is over.

Striker Thomas Mair was one of the hottest prospects on the South Tyrolean transfer market this summer. Now there is news regarding his future.

Last season, he outshone everyone in the Landesliga: Thomas Mair scored an incredible 29 goals for Naturns, crowning himself top scorer and propelling his team into the Oberliga. It's hardly surprising that Mair attracted considerable interest – especially from Obermais.

Will he join Naturns in the Oberliga (fifth tier) or take on the challenge of Serie D? That was the question for the past few weeks, and now there's an answer. As has been leaked, Mair has opted for a move to Obermais and wants to prove himself in Italy's fourth division. His transfer to the Blue and Whites is expected to be officially announced within the next few hours.

Julian Pircher is also transferring to Obermais.

Obermais is continuing its South Tyrolean focus – and reinforcing this with a second transfer. Goalkeeper Julian Pircher is also moving to the Lahn region. In recent years, the 23-year-old goalkeeper has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in South Tyrolean amateur football while playing for Virtus Bozen.

But after promotion to Serie D with the Talfer town team, their paths diverged. Obermais seized the opportunity and secured the services of Pircher, who will compete with Luca Tenderini for the goalkeeper position.
