South Tyrol's U14 selection.

U14 team prepares for premiere tournament

The newly formed U14 team is facing a special milestone: From May 29th to June 1st, the team will participate for the first time in the 1° Torneo Coppa delle Alpi – Memorial Antonio Sonno in Liguria. Eight teams from all over Italy will compete in the tournament, including our South Tyrol selection.

Preparations are progressing promisingly. Following a successful start with a 2-1 victory against Virtus Bozen's U15 team, the second test came last week. The South Tyrolean selection suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against FC Südtirol's U14 team, with Lukas Fill scoring the goal for our side. Regardless of the result, this match also provided important insights for further development.

Clear progress is evident in the training sessions: the team is growing closer together, routines are becoming more established, and the players are showing great commitment and motivation. The goal is not only to perform well on the field at the tournament in Liguria, but also to present a united front – with the clear ambition of playing the tournament to the best of their ability and competing for the win.

The U14 team is coached by Yuri Pellegrini, assistant coach Norbert Laner, staff member Werner Strobl, and physiotherapist Kaya Bertol. Team manager Manuel Tabarelli emphasizes their ambitions: "For us as an association, this selection is an important step. The boys are working very hard and are constantly developing. We're going to Liguria with a lot of confidence and, of course, with the goal of winning the tournament."

The anticipation for the first joint tournament is high - the U14 team is ready to tackle this challenge with full energy.
