VIDEO | Another act of violence by Weinstraße striker

Thierno Diagne, from the South Tyrolean Wine Route, is one of the best strikers in the South Tyrolean regional league. However, the 33-year-old apparently lacks self-control. On Sunday, he had a meltdown – and it's not the first this season.

Back in November, Thierno Diagne caused a scandal in the Landesliga (regional league) by headbutting Lukas Außerer-Wieser. During the Unterland derby against Voran Leifers, Diagne headbutted his opponent – without the ball even being in play. (Click here for the video). The Weinstraße-Süd attacker was lucky at the time, because the referee had not seen the action and so Diagne got away scot-free.

On Sunday, Diagne had another outburst in a duel against Natz. During a footrace with Julian Brunner, the striker, who joined Weinstraße Süd from Anaune a year and a half ago, struck the Eisackt defender in the head. And although the ball was in play this time, the referee didn't see the incident. Diagne is therefore unlikely to receive a penalty once again.

In times when almost every high-level amateur football match is filmed, Diagne's acts of violence did not go unnoticed.
