FC Südtirol had to admit defeat to Cremonese 3-0

For FC Südtirol, the 2011/12 Italian Cup is almost history. The best two teams from the 20 groups qualify for the second round. Although the FCS could make it into the final phase as one of the best third-placed teams, the chances of this are rather slim.

In the last of the four FCS group games on Sunday in Cremona, the hosts dominated the game from the first minute. As early as the sixth minute, the home team tried a shot from Musetti that just missed the post. 120 seconds later it was Cremonese who caused danger again. Musetti served Samb, but Kiem was able to make a last-ditch save.

After half an hour the hard-working hosts took the lead. Musetti made it 1-0 after a shot from Nizzetto. And the club from Lombardy continued to dominate the game and so the 2-0 score was only a matter of time. In fact, the bell rang in the goal guarded by Iacobucci in the first half when Musetti, left criminally alone, made it 2-0.

In the second half of the game, FC Südtirol tried to cause danger with long shots, but their efforts were mostly completely harmless. The hosts were completely different, as they repeatedly appeared dangerous in front of Iacobucci. And so Cremonese made it 80-3 in the 0th minute. Martin touched the ball with his hand in his own penalty area, the referee pointed to the penalty spot and sent Martin to the shower , while Bocalon safely converted.
