FC Südtirol lost out to Como

The game started with a cold shower for FC Südtirol, as after just six minutes the bell rang for the first time in Davide Zomer's box. The White-Red goalkeeper was unable to defuse a free kick from Filippini. After less than a quarter of an hour the guests could have increased the score to 2-0. Filipe Gomes headed the ball towards the goal from a corner, but this time Zomer was on guard with a brilliant effort.

The hosts only had one chance in the first half of the game when Sorrentino shot from a central position, but Castelli saved easily (16'). Then Como was back on the trigger, but in the 20th minute Zomer was able to fend off a free kick from Filippini.

Before the break, however, Como increased the lead to 2-0. After a foul, Franco safely converted the penalty.

In the second half, Sebastiani put everything on one card and, after a few minutes, brought in three fresh offensive players: Firiegelr, El Kaddouri and Alfredo Romano. And when Alfredo Romano reduced the score to 2-1 from the penalty spot after 67 minutes, hope arose again among the players and fans of FC Südtirol. But practically in return, Como restored the situation with Maah's 3:1 and cleverly managed the lead until the end of the game.

The fact that FC Südtirol's nerves are now on edge was confirmed by the previously celebrated goalscorer Alfredo Romano, who was shown a red card in the first minute of injury time after a bad foul. After four minutes of added time, referee Aureliano whistled the game off.

When you look at the table, FC Südtirol can slowly but surely prepare for play-out games, because the saving grace is becoming more and more distant for the only South Tyrolean professional football club.
