Thomas Müller is probably going to Canada
Wearing a cowboy hat, Thomas Müller sits on a folding chair by the Isar River, then rides off across a meadow on horseback. "Then it's off across the pond," says the soccer star – presumably revealing that he will continue his career in North America. The 35-year-old could announce which club he'll be joining as early as the beginning of the week.

According to a media report, Thomas Müller could move to Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American soccer league MLS. Negotiations between the Bayern Munich star and the Canadian team are only finalizing the details, the BILD.
Los Angeles FC, which had also recently been interested in the 35-year-old, is said to have surprisingly dropped out of the race. There has been no official confirmation from the clubs or Müller yet.
The footballer himself had hinted in a video that he was moving to America. In the short clip – a homage to Helmut Dietl's 70s cult series "Munich Stories" – he says, among other things: "Today is Saturday, tomorrow is Sunday, and the day after tomorrow is Monday – and then suddenly it's all over. Then it's off across the pond." This could mean that he'll announce his new club at the start of the week.
German Vancouver boss recently played down the issue
Vancouver's German sporting director Axel Schuster, former manager of Mainz 05 and Schalke 04, asserted a few days ago that signing Müller was rather unrealistic. According to MLS regulations, the Whitecaps would also have to formally purchase the rights to sign Müller from league rival Cincinnati. FC Cincinnati has a right of first refusal under the so-called discovery rights for the German veteran and 2014 World Cup winner.
