Paderborn won 3-1 against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to conclude the fourth Bundesliga matchday and can now head into the three-week international break with four points from four games. It was Paderborn's first victory in the top flight since their 2-1 win against SC Freiburg on January 25, 2020.

For the disappointing Hoffenheim side, it was another setback three days after their bitter 0-2 defeat in their Europa League opener against OFI Crete. With only one win in four league games, the European competition participant is lagging far behind its own expectations.
In front of 14.224 spectators, Santiago Castaneda (29th minute), Stefano Marino (42nd) and Steffen Tigges (69th) scored for the home side. Adam Daghim only managed a consolation goal for Hoffenheim (50th).

No goals in the promoted teams' clash at Schalke

FC Schalke 04 failed to secure a win against fellow promoted side SV Elversberg in their clash of the newly promoted teams, despite creating several good chances. Coach Miron Muslic's team played to a goalless draw against the Saarlanders in front of their home crowd on Sunday.

Led by serial goalscorer Patrik Schick, who has scored on all four matchdays of the German Bundesliga so far, Leverkusen celebrated a 2-0 home victory over RB Leipzig.

Leipzig are still waiting for their first away points after two defeats. Besides striker Schick (44th minute), Miguel Gutiérrez (57th minute) also scored for Leverkusen, who head into the three-week international break with seven points.
