Special honor for Jamal Musiala

Jamal Musiala will wear the number 10 at FC Bayern. The national football player takes over the prestigious number from Leroy Sané, who is leaving Munich for Galatasaray Istanbul.

As Bayern announced, the 22-year-old attacking star will receive his new number after the Club World Cup. No changes are possible during the tournament; Musiala will finish the event wearing the number 42 on his jersey.

The attacker has also been wearing the number 2024 in the national team since March 10 – when he was recently injured in the Nations League finals at the beginning of June, the jersey number was not given to any other selected player.

Hoeneß, Matthäus, Robben

The number 10 has always been the most coveted number in football. World stars such as Pelé, Diego Maradona, Michel Platini, Zinédine Zidane, and Lionel Messi have worn it. Uli Hoeneß, Paul Breitner, Lothar Matthäus, and Arjen Robben, among others, have worn the number 10 for Bayern Munich. Sané received the famous number upon his transfer in the summer of 2020. Now, not unexpectedly, his DFB colleague is taking over the coveted number on his back.
