German goalkeeper Loris Karius and Italian TV presenter Diletta Leotta are one of the most famous couples in the international football scene. They are currently celebrating the arrival of their baby.

Schalke's championship-winning goalkeeper Karius has had a particularly happy week. After the traditional club's promotion to the Bundesliga, the 32-year-old goalkeeper was absent from the 0-3 defeat in Nuremberg in the last second-division away game of the season, following the team's celebrations in Ibiza.

The reason: "Wonderful news from Italy," as FC Schalke 04 announced. "Leonardo is here." Karius and his partner Leotta have become parents of a son. The Royal Blues posted a picture of the now four-member family, which Diletta Leotta had previously shared on Instagram.

"This is great news for all of us, especially for Loris and his family. We were in contact yesterday morning," said coach Miron Muslic after the match about the former Liverpool goalkeeper.

A glamorous couple

Karius and Leotta have been a couple for several years, had a daughter named Aria in 2023, and are often in the media spotlight due to their international careers and public appearances. Leotta is a well-known Italian sports presenter and television personality. She became famous primarily through her work broadcasting football matches and is one of Italy's most recognizable media figures. She currently presents top Serie A matches for the streaming service DAZN.
