Six goals in Frankfurt: A spectacular start to the year
Borussia Dortmund salvaged a point in the last minute of a spectacular game, but risk losing further points in their long-distance duel with FC Bayern.

Niko Kovac's Borussia Dortmund could only manage a turbulent 3-3 (1-1) draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening match of the new Bundesliga year and could already fall eleven points behind the record champions from Munich on Sunday. However, they will maintain their second-place position.
The goals in the clash between the two Champions League clubs were initially scored by Maximilian Beier (10th minute) and Felix Nmecha (68th), while young star Can Uzun (22nd/penalty) and new signing Younes Ebnoutalib (71st) scored for the home side. In stoppage time, former Dortmund player Mahmoud Dahoud (90+2) and Carney Chukwuemeka (90+6) added further goals.
