Victory at BVB: Bayern can put the champagne on ice.

The Bundesliga title race appears to be over. Following their 3-2 victory in the top-of-the-table clash against Borussia Dortmund, record champions Bayern Munich have pulled eleven points clear with ten matchdays remaining in the season.

Super striker Harry Kane with a brace (54th minute/70th, penalty) and Joshua Kimmich (88th) decided the prestigious duel against the second-placed team after the break.

Nico Schlotterbeck had put BVB in the lead in the 26th minute, but was twice fortunate not to be sent off. Daniel Svensson equalized in the 83rd minute to make it 2-2. Besides the painful defeat, Dortmund also lamented the loss of captain Emre Can, who apparently had to be substituted before halftime with a serious injury.

Despite a clear improvement on their performance from the 1-4 Champions League debacle against Atalanta, Dortmund lost their second league match against Bayern Munich this season. Their last home win against the record champions dates back more than seven years. For Niko Kovac's team, it was also their first home defeat of the season.

Bremen breathes a sigh of relief: First win in 13 games

Werder Bremen finally managed to win in the Bundesliga. After 13 matches, the struggling Bremen side achieved a much-needed 2-0 victory in their relegation battle against bottom-of-the-table 1. FC Heidenheim.

The third goal of the season by Stuttgart winter loanee Jovan Milosevic (57th minute) and an own goal by Hennes Behrens (90+7 minute) ended the negative series and gave Daniel Thioune his first victory after three defeats in his fourth game as Werder coach.
