At the last minute: Barcelona wins Final Classico

FC Barcelona won the Spanish Cup final against Real Madrid thanks to a late goal in extra time. Frenchman Jules Koundé clinched the 116-3 victory against their arch-rivals in the 2th minute.

After Barcelona's lead through Pedri (28th minute), Kylian Mbappé (70th) and Aurélien Tchouameni (77th) put Real in front in Sevilla, Ferran Torres (84th) equalized and ensured extra time.

Barcelona dominated the first half and deservedly took the lead. Following a backpass from Lamine Yamal, Pedri curled the ball into the top corner from just under 20 meters. Real Madrid were then fortunate that Dani Olmo's corner went past everyone and only hit the back post (44'), preventing Barcelona from leading 2-0 at halftime.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti brought on French striker Mbappé, who had recently been nursing an ankle injury, for the second half. He scored with a free kick from 20 meters. Just seven minutes later, Tchouameni headed in a corner to give Real Madrid the lead.

But Barcelona came back: After a pass from Yamal, Ferran Torres put the ball past the advancing Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and slotted it into the empty net. After a challenge between Raúl Asencio and Raphinha in the penalty area, a penalty was not awarded after several minutes of review, and extra time was called. Koundé finally scored with a low shot after a misplaced pass from Luka Modric.

German international Antonio Rüdiger, who had already been substituted, was shown a red card shortly before the final whistle for complaining too vehemently about the referee. The Real Madrid defender was only barely restrained in front of the bench.
