Austria's top talent moves to Spain

Austrian national team talent Ifeanyi Ndukwe is playing in the Spanish top-flight football league LaLiga this season.

After successfully completing a medical examination, the 18-year-old Liverpool centre-back signed a season-long loan deal with UD Levante, the Spanish club announced on Saturday. The Valencia-based club does not have an option to buy, and Ndukwe will return to Liverpool after the loan period. The teenager is currently unable to play in England due to a lack of a work visa.

Ndukwe moved from Austria Vienna to Liverpool for a reported three million euros, but due to this curious situation, he will now be loaned out. "For me, it's good to develop further and get more playing time," said Ndukwe.
