Theater over: Mbappé move to Real official

Kylian Mbappé is now a royal. The 25-year-old soccer world champion from 2018 and runner-up in 2022 is moving to the renewed Champions League triumph Real Madrid and is thus fulfilling a heartfelt wish.

He signed a contract that is valid until June 30, 2029. Real announced this on Monday evening around 44 hours after their 15th triumph in the Champions League. “You can't hit the table harder with your fist,” wrote the Spanish sports newspaper Trademarks immediately.

Reports: Hand money in the three-digit million range
The lightning-fast captain of the French national team confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after seven years weeks ago. He had wanted to move to Real two years ago, but instead he extended his contract with PSG again - until the end of June 2024. The fact that he would now go to Real was only an open secret, the only question was the timing of the announcement .

But he revealed to French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday during his visit to the national team's quarters in Clairefontaine: "Tonight." And that's how it happened. This time Mbappé took the opportunity to make the longed-for transfer perfect. A transfer fee was not due, but in such cases players and agents are usually happy about a generous hand money. According to reports, in this case it should be 150 million euros.

Trouble with PSG

In this context, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently even demanded of Mbappé: “You cannot leave for free and strengthen our biggest rival.” According to a report in the French sports newspaper “L'Équipe”, Mbappé is even said to be in a dispute with the club boss Waiting for payments of his April salary and February bonuses. There can only be very limited talk of a warm farewell to the most successful goalscorer in the club's history.

However, on CNN, Al-Khelaifi had very praising words for the second most expensive transfer in PSG history. “He came to us with me when I was more or less 18 years old and now he is a big man, the best player in the world.”

Mbappé also explained in the CNN article that he had not yet moved to his dream club in 2022. “It was about more than staying at PSG. It was about the World Cup in Qatar.” This took place at the end of 2022, with France Mbappé only failing to defend his title in the final and there in the penalty shootout against Argentina against his former PSG teammate Lionel Messi.
