Women's football experienced a boom due to the European Championship. But what happens now?

The gray everyday life threatens

The European Women's Football Championship was a ratings booster for the TV stations. And yet, our columnist Sigi Heinrich notes, this interest is only temporary. In everyday life, women's football is sinking back into insignificance.

The kicking ladies have now received unprecedented attention for just a blink of an eye in football history, because the still amateurish structures simply lead to the conclusion that not much will change at first. The majority is the motto. Working, looking after children, training in the evenings. Even if some female footballers receive a decent salary from some clubs, equality and equal treatment are miles away.
