In Austria: Elisa Pfattner crowns a perfect season

The Austrian Women's Bundesliga saw a major showdown for the championship title on Saturday. Right in the thick of it: a player from South Tyrol.

Everything was set at the Generali Arena in Vienna on Saturday for the big top match: league leaders Austria Vienna faced their closest rivals, SKN St. Pölten, at home. The home side, with Elisa Pfattner from Latzfons in the starting lineup, secured the championship title with a 1-1 draw.

With this victory, the Viennese team crowned their perfect season with the double – in mid-May, Austria had won the cup final against Red Bull Salzburg's women's team 1-0. For Pfattner, it was thus a perfect first season in the Austrian capital – with three goals in 19 games, she contributed to the championship win.

He too was pleased Mauro Vasile from Kurtatsch, who works as an athletic and video analyst at Austria Vienna.
