The new year marks the beginning of a new adventure for Katja Schroffenegger: she has changed clubs within Serie A.

Since the summer of 2024, Schroffenegger has worn the jersey of Como 1907. Now this adventure is coming to an end for the 34-year-old from Karneid. As was announced on Thursday, South Tyrol's most successful goalkeeper is transferring to Ternana, which, like Como, plays in Serie A.

With only four points from nine games, Ternana is currently bottom of the table. That's precisely why Schroffenegger is expected to help the club out of their predicament with her skill and experience. Only the bottom team in Serie A is relegated, and Ternana is currently two points away from safety.

Her first words

“I can hardly wait to begin this great challenge. I still believe in my dreams, and above all in the will I see in the eyes of these girls to achieve our goal: always believe and never give up,” were Schroffenegger’s first words as a Ternana player.
