Nadine Nischler fulfilled a childhood dream on Sunday evening. The 23-year-old striker from Naturns made her debut for Como in Serie A. But that wasn't all: Nischler immediately became a great hero in her first match in the top division.

In the duel with Milan, the striker was in the starting eleven and needed just 19 minutes to score her first goal. Nischler received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and hammered it into the top corner without hesitation. A dream goal on her dream debut, as the score remained 1-0 for Como until the end. As a result, Nischler was immediately voted match winner and the best player on the pitch on her debut.

With 40 goals in Serie A

The young woman from Naturno has shown that she can also cause a stir in Serie A. Last season, Nischler caught the eye of numerous clubs when she scored an incredible 40 goals for Meran Women in Serie C. In the summer, she finally moved to Como.



The club from the upscale town has a second South Tyrolean in its squad, Katja Schroffenegger. The Karneid goalkeeper did not play against Milan on Sunday. Instead, another South Tyrolean played in Serie A: Eva Schatzer, currently under contract with Juventus, was allowed onto the field in the closing stages of the Turin team's 6:3 victory.
