FC Südtirol's women's team remains on course for the Serie C playoffs. The South Tyrolean side secured a 1-0 victory against Chievo Verona on matchday 16. Ranja Fischer scored the winning goal just before halftime. Previously, Katharina Pföstl (a free kick that hit the post) and Manuela Ladstätter (from a corner) had narrowly missed giving Südtirol the lead.
In the standings, the FCS women's team currently sits in second place with 39 points, four points behind league leaders Orobica Bergamo. The top two teams will compete in the promotion playoffs; the South Tyrolean team currently holds an eight-point lead over third place.
