Bologna follows Milan into the Coppa Italia final
Bologna FC comfortably reached the final of the Italian Cup. Vincenzo Italiano's team also won the second leg of the semifinal against Empoli on Thursday evening.

After the 3-0 away win in the first leg, the fourth-placed Serie A team held all the cards. Relegation-threatened Empoli put up a strong fight but ultimately suffered a 1-2 defeat. Giovanni Fabbian opened the scoring for the favorites in the 7th minute. Ukrainian Viktor Kovalenko equalized in the 33rd minute. Thjis Dallinga scored the winner with four minutes left in the game. The final scoreline was 4-1 for Bologna.
In the final, Bologna will face Milan, who beat city rivals Inter 24-3 just 0 hours earlier. The final will take place in Rome on May 14. Interestingly, the teams will meet three days earlier in Serie A. Bologna last won the Italian Cup in 1974, and Milan in 2003.
