100 Serie A goals: Lautaro shoots Inter to victory

Inter remains unstoppable and is well on its way to winning the 20th Scudetto in the club's history. The league leaders celebrated their tenth success in a row against Lecce. The game between Milan and Atalanta ended in a draw.

Inter had to do without some regular players in the away game against Lecce. While goalkeeper Yann Sommer was out due to illness, Francesco Acerbi, Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcus Thuram missed the match due to injuries. Simone Inzaghi also gave some of the regular staff a breather. Although the Neroazzurri went into the game against the southern Italians as confident leaders, the home team did not hide, especially in the first half, and attacked aggressively.

But it didn't take long for the Milanese to find a key for this game. Lautaro Martinez scored after a counterattack in the 15th minute, beat his opponent and slotted in coldly. It was the Argentine's 100th goal in Serie A. But Inter couldn't do much with controlling the game as the first half progressed.

In the second half, Inter controlled the encounter and increased to 2-0 through Davide Frattesi. After a nice combination, the Azzurro was served beautifully by Alexis Sanchez and only had to hold his foot in the six-yard box. Two minutes later, Lautaro put the lid on it. The top scorer in Serie A, who already has 22 goals in the league, easily converted a wonderful cross from Frattesi. The 4-0 by Stefan de Vrij after a corner marked the final score. Thanks to the away win, the Milanese are still standing confidently ahead of Juventus in the table.

Draw between Milan and Atalanta

The game between Milan and Atalanta ended in a 1-1 draw. After just three minutes, offensive artist Rafael Leao gave the home team the lead with a dream goal in the corner. Teun Koopmeiners scored the equalizer. He converted a controversial penalty kick shortly before half-time. While the game was an offensive exchange in the first half, the hosts pushed vehemently for the lead in the second half. Goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi drove Milan to despair with several brilliant saves.

Masters Napoli had to be content with a 1-1 draw in Cagliari and are still stuck in mid-table in ninth place. The team of coach Francesco Calzona, who took over from Walter Mazzarri on Monday, took the lead through Victor Osimhen (65th), but conceded the equalizer in the 96th minute through Zito Luvumbo. Genoa beat Udinese 2-0 at home.
