6-0 in Rome! Inter's bold championship announcement

This year, Serie A is more exciting and balanced at the top than it has been for a long time. But now Inter has sent a strong exclamation mark to the competition.

In the top match on Monday evening, the reigning champions beat Lazio 6-0 in their stadium. A heavy slap in the face for the Romans, especially as Baroni's team had played a strong season up to that point. But Inter impressively showed who is the top favorite for the Scudetto this year too.

Two quick double strikes before the break by Calhanoglu and Dimarco and by Barella and Dumfries decided the match clearly in Milan's favour. Lazio then seemed shocked in the second half. In the table, Inter are now three points behind leaders Atalanta. Inzaghi's team also have one game less. A three-way battle between Inter, Atalanta and Napoli is certainly possible this year.
