According to information from Journal of Sport A deal like this could also lead to David Alaba's move to Milan. The Austrian national team captain is currently without a club after his contract with Real Madrid expired.

Glasner is reportedly determined to bring the 33-year-old to Milan should he make the move, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Despite the risk factor of multiple injuries since the 2023/24 season (including a cruciate ligament tear and muscle and meniscus problems), Alaba would be a valuable addition at the highest level due to his experience and personality. The defender has already been offered to several clubs, including Milan's rivals Inter Milan, the sports daily reported.

According to media reports, Austrian coach Oliver Glasner has already met with Milan owner Gerry Cardinale. The meeting reportedly focused on a possible sporting restructuring for the Rossoneri, who missed out on Champions League qualification last season.
