Allegri moves on: From Milan to Naples

Italian first division football club SSC Napoli has signed Massimiliano Allegri as their new head coach.

The runners-up announced the news on Friday. Allegri has signed a contract until June 30, 2029, and succeeds Antonio Conte, who left the club despite finishing second in the league behind champions Inter Milan.

Allegri is one of Italy's most successful coaches, with six league titles and four domestic doubles. His most recent stint was at AC Milan, where his second spell ended after just one season. Following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, the Lombardy club parted ways with the coach.
