De Bruyne's comeback: Napoli wins narrowly

Napoli celebrated an important home victory in Serie A on Friday evening. The southern Italians prevailed against FC Torino at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Coach Antonio Conte still had to do without midfield star Scott McTominay, but Kevin De Bruyne celebrated his comeback. The Belgian had been sidelined with an injury since the end of October. On Friday, he was substituted on in the 79th minute with the score at 2-0. Although Turin managed to pull one back to make it 2-1, the three points stayed in Napoli.

The home side got off to a perfect start, taking the lead in the 7th minute through Alisson Santos. They then controlled the game for long stretches and created several chances. Eljif Elmas converted one of these in the 68th minute, giving the favorites a comfortable 2-0 lead.

It will be exciting

Torino refused to give up, however, and pulled a goal back late in the game. Cesare Casadei scored in the 87th minute. Napoli held onto their lead until the final whistle, securing three crucial points in their bid to climb the table.
