A heel wizard spits into Napoli's soup

At the end of the 31st matchday, Bologna proved to be a stumbling block for SSC Napoli in the title race – also thanks to a backheel goal.

For a long time, Napoli were close to winning away in Bologna, but after the final whistle, SSC had to be grateful to have even returned home with a point. André-Frank Zambo Anguissa gave the visitors the lead after a magnificent solo run through the entire opponent's half (18'). The southern Italians even had several chances to add a second goal before halftime. However, it was not to be, as Romelu Lukaku and co. missed too many opportunities.

This negligence by Napoli, who would have moved within a point of league leaders Inter with a win, was finally punished in the second half. Jens Odgaard created some space on the left after a through ball and fed Dan Ndoye with a low cross, which the Swiss attacker fired into the net with his left heel at the near post (64'). The home side eventually turned things around and even came close to making it 2-1 on several occasions, but ultimately Napoli pulled themselves out of the noose and salvaged the draw. The 2021/22 champions remain three points behind Inter in second place, while Bologna remain in fourth place and maintain their one-point lead over Juventus.
