Genoa increases the worries at Monza

At the end of the 22nd matchday in Serie A, Genoa celebrated a comfortable home victory against Monza

In a one-sided encounter between Genoa and Monza, the hosts were able to secure three well-deserved points. The Ligurians had the lead in the first half, but Pinamonti missed from the penalty spot (31'). Koni De Winter then redeemed the team in the 61st minute. The decision was made six minutes before the end when Johan Vasquez scored to make it 2-0.

Monza remains in last place in the table. With 13 points, the Lombards are a full seven points behind the saving 17th place in the table.
Shortly before, Venice and Hellas Verona also played out a draw (1:1). The goals were scored by Alessio Zerbin (Venice) and Jackson Tchatchoua (Hellas).
