Inter capitalize on Napoli's slip-up
Currently, it looks like Inter, Napoli, and Milan will be the ones to decide the Scudetto this year. Of the top three Serie A teams, two were in action on Wednesday evening, but only Inter managed a victory.

Reigning champions Napoli stumbled at home against relegation-threatened Hellas Verona, only managing a 2-2 draw against the team managed by former FCS coach Paolo Zanetti. Napoli had even fallen behind 0-2 after the first half. In the final minutes, Napoli pushed for the win, but frustrated coach Antonio Conte had to settle for the draw.
Later that evening, Inter capitalized on Napoli's slip-up and now sit four points ahead of them. With a 2-0 victory in Parma, Cristian Chivu's team secured their sixth consecutive Serie A win. For the Inter coach, it was a special and successful return, as Chivu had managed Parma the previous year.

Fiorentina dropped crucial points in their fight against relegation. The struggling Serie A side took a 2-1 lead in Rome just minutes before the final whistle through an Albert Gudmundsson penalty, only for Lazio to equalize from the spot in stoppage time. The 2-2 draw means Fiorentina missed out on their second consecutive victory and remain second-to-last in the table. Meanwhile, things are looking up for Atalanta under Raffaele Palladino, who defeated the struggling Bologna 2-0 away from home and moved ahead of Fiorentina in the standings.
