Back at his old workplace, Napoli coach Antonio Conte had nothing to celebrate. Juventus, on the other hand, secured a 3-0 home victory over the current league leaders, bringing Napoli to within one point of the top spot.
A fast-paced and high-caliber top match that lived up to its billing from the outset. Napoli pressed Juventus high up the pitch, while the Turin side tried to counter with frequent positional changes and a short, controlled build-up play. After 22 minutes, Jonathan David opened the scoring. The Canadian had been the villain just a few weeks earlier when he missed a penalty, costing points. Following a disastrous error by Jesus, Fabio Miretti laid the ball off for the highly talented Kenan Yildiz to make it 2-0 (77'). Filip Kostic then sealed the victory with a well-placed low shot (86').

In the evening match, Milan and Roma, currently second and third in the Serie A table, faced off. The game ended in a draw, a result that will particularly please league leaders Inter. Koni De Winter put Milan ahead after a corner. A handball by Milan's rising star Marco Bartesaghi allowed Roma to equalize with a penalty in the 74th minute – the match finished 1-1.Serie A: Sunday results
