Juventus takes the lead in the Champions League race

The battle for Champions League qualification in Serie A is intensifying. Juventus took the lead on Saturday evening with an away win in Lecce. Their rivals can follow suit on Sunday.

Napoli, Juventus, Milan, Roma, and Como are still battling for the last three Champions League spots in Serie A with three matchdays remaining. The southern Italians are the favorites, currently sitting in second place behind champions Inter Milan.

Behind them, things are getting tight. Juventus won 1-0 at Lecce on Saturday (goal: Dusan Vlahovic) and temporarily moved into third place. On Sunday, Milan (in their top-of-the-table clash against Atalanta), Como (at Verona), and Roma (in Parma) also have the chance to pick up points. Napoli, meanwhile, play Bologna on Monday evening.

Juventus' victory in Lecce on Saturday was well-deserved. The Turin side took an early lead through Dusan Vlahovic (1'). Another goal by the Serbian was disallowed for offside by VAR (48'), as was a goal by Pierre Kalulu (59').
