Malen's brace wasn't enough for Roma in Naples

Napoli and Roma, two rivals in the fight for Champions League qualification, drew 2-2 in a thrilling Serie A match on Sunday evening.

Donyell Malen gave the visitors from the capital the lead after seven minutes, but Leonardo Spinazzola equalized in the 40th minute. In the second half, Malen again put Roma ahead – this time from the penalty spot (71st minute).

Substitute Alisson Santos, who joined Napoli from Sporting Lisbon in the winter transfer window, celebrated a dream Serie A debut, equalizing for the defending champions in the 82nd minute. Napoli applied further pressure, but the draw was ultimately a fair result.
