Against bottom-of-the-table Pisa, the Rossoneri took a 1-0 lead after 39 minutes thanks to a goal from Ruben Loftus Cheek. In a one-sided encounter, the only moment of excitement came when Pisa equalized in the 71st minute. Fourteen minutes later, Luca Modric put the seven-time Champions League winners back in front, securing further crucial points for the Serie A runners-up in their title race.
