Napoli and Milan with a cracking equalizer – Inter stays ahead

This is how Serie A is really fun. In the top duel between Napoli and Milan, both teams fired off offensive fireworks at times - the game ended in a draw (2:2) - while Cagliari celebrated their first win of the season in an incredible comeback (4:3 against Frosinone). Meanwhile, Inter maintained their lead in the table with a 1-0 win against Roma.

The first half featured a different Milan on the pitch in Naples, having lost 3-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this week. Full offensive and total control was the order of the day when Olivier Giroud put the Rossoneri in the lead with two impressive headers (22nd and 31st minute). There was no sign of the host and last year's champions in the first 45 minutes. Only Matteo Politano missed the empty goal in the 27th minute and missed the goal to make it 1-1. Otherwise, Napoli went under, the trident of Rafael Leao, Giroud and the splendidly whirling Christian Pulisic was too dominant.

But things turned in the second half. Milan, who played so wonderfully, looked as if they had been replaced and were pushed into their own box by Napoli. Politano deservedly made up for his earlier mistake and slammed the ball under the crossbar after an impressive solo effort to make it 1:2 (50th minute). After Mike Maignan initially rejected Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Raspadori managed to make the deserved 2-2 equalizer (63'). Napoli finally played like the reigning champions of Italy's top division. Both teams had several attempts to take the lead, such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was denied by the Milan goalie seconds before the end, but the score remained 2-2.

Nerazzurri defend their lead Inter is still at the top of Serie A after the tenth round. The Nerazzurri won 81-1 at home against Roma on Sunday with a goal from Marcus Thuram (0st) and are two points ahead of Juventus.

Cagliari had previously celebrated its first league win of the season in dramatic fashion. After six defeats and three draws in the first nine rounds, the previous bottom team, coached by Claudio Ranieri, was 71-0 behind at home against Frosinone in the 3st minute before they managed a 4-3 win. The last two goals were scored by 34-year-old Leonardo Pavoletti in the fourth and sixth minutes of injury time. The “Red Lantern” was thus handed over to Salernitana.
