The new FC Südtirol does this differently

Admittedly, it took a while. The winter newcomers to FC Südtirol have now arrived on the pitch. This has changed the statics of the entire FCS game.

Jasmin Kurtic came to South Tyrol with (allegedly) poor fitness values. Salvatore Molina was injured after a few training sessions. And Hamza El Kaouakibi was also out of action after one game. Only Tommaso Arrigoni and Filippo Scaglia, both of whom came from Como, were of help right from the start. In the away game against Reggiana (Tuesday, 18.15:XNUMX p.m.) coach Federico Valente will be able to rely on all of the new additions.

With two wins under their belt, the FCS traveled to Reggio Emilia on Monday afternoon, where defender icon Alessandro Nesta and his team are waiting for the South Tyroleans. It may be a coincidence that the most recent FCS threesome were celebrated when Molina and Kurtic were in the starting line-up for the first time. The fact is, however, that the two new players are already extremely important for the white-red team. While the 2-time Slovenian international Kurtic pulls the strings with Arrigoni in midfield, Molina plows the right wing. This means that Fabian Tait, for example, can act a little more freely than before and is not tied to the number six position. This suits the Salurner, his performance curve is pointing upwards.

Kurtic's strengths are primarily with the ball at his feet. No wonder, as the 35-year-old was a real attacking midfielder in his young professional years and sometimes even played on the attacking wing. The Slovenian is now the linchpin in the FCS center. The interaction with Daniele Casiraghi works excellently. The recently strong Emanuele Pecorino will be missing in Reggio Emilia. The striker was injured during a penalty foul on Sunday. Raphael Odogwu or Silvio Merkaj (he is the favorite) are ready.
