FC Südtirol starts the season

Today, Monday 8 July, the professional team of FC Südtirol officially opened its new season, the third consecutive in Serie B.

The players arrived at the FCS Center in Rungg in the late afternoon to start the 2024/25 season together. During the course of the day, the first FCS professionals completed the traditional sports medical examinations at the Marienklinik in Bozen. These will continue in the coming days, accompanied by the first athletic tests at the FCS Center.


On Sunday, July 14, the professional team will head to the Ridnauntal valley to complete their summer preparations for the thirteenth time in a row. Until July 26, the white and reds will train intensively at the Stange sports center near Ratschings in order to prepare as best as possible for the upcoming Serie B championship. The exclusive Hotel Schneeberg Family Resort & Spa in Maiern will once again serve as the headquarters of the training camp, where captain Fabian Tait and his teammates have been welcomed with exceptional hospitality by the Kruselburger family for over a decade.

The test dates

During the almost two-week training camp in the Ridnauntal, FC Südtirol will play two test matches: on Saturday, July 20th, at 17.00 p.m. against the Ridnauntal selection and on Thursday, July 25th, at 18.00 p.m. against St. Georgen. Both test matches will take place in the Stange sports center. Another test match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31st. FC Südtirol will face the Serie D club Lavis in the home FCS Center in Rungg - kick-off is at 17.00 p.m.

On Saturday, August 3, the three-way tournament between Serie A club and Champions League participant Bologna and German Bundesliga club Bochum will take place at the Drusus Stadium in Bolzano. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, with three games of 60 minutes each (two halves of 30 minutes).

*Jasmin Kurtic will join the team on July 21 after participating in the European Championship with Slovenia.
