Jasmine Kurtic signed a new one-year contract with FCS until summer 2025. The 35-year-old clearly feels at home in South Tyrol, and his good friendship with defensive leader Andrea Masiello may also have played a role in the extension. Kurtic moved to Bolzano in the winter and, in his 15 appearances, made a significant contribution to FCS's ultimately confident relegation.
Above all, the calmness and class with the ball that Kurtic exudes in central midfield are extremely important for FC Südtirol. The Slovenian also wrote club history at the European Championships in Germany this year when he became the first FCS player to play in a major tournament (albeit only in injury time against Denmark). 289 Serie A appearances and 92 international matches speak for themselves.
Giacomo Poluzzi extends for another year.
In addition, the FCS announced that goalkeeper James Poluzzi for another year until 2026. The 36-year-old has now been playing for FC Südtirol for four years and was promoted to Serie B with the club. "Jack" has proven himself to be a reliable support there over the past two years. Poluzzi also plays an important role in the dressing room.
