FC Südtirol, this victory tastes particularly sweet!

"Ever since I joined FC Südtirol, I've been under pressure, I don't know anything else": That's what FCS coach Federico Valente said on Friday before the match against Reggiana. The reason: After two defeats in a row, the White-Reds were under pressure. On Sunday, the outstanding Salvatore Molina & Co. proved that the international break had done them a lot of good. In the end, the away game in Emilia-Romagna was a 3-1 win for FC Südtirol.

What made the victory particularly sweet: FCS now has nine points in the table and is in second place together with Brescia and Spezia. Only Pisa (11 points) is ahead of the trio. FCS is therefore increasingly preparing to establish itself in the top third of the table. Two firsts were particularly in focus against Reggiana. Both Tommaso Arrigoni and new signing Mateusz Praszelik each scored their first goal for FCS.

Some other players deserve special praise too: Salvatore Molina was the best man on the field, toiling away on the wing for 90 minutes and shining with a dream goal and an assist. Captain Fabian Tait, who has been criticized recently, showed great improvement and assisted a goal, while the defense - which has been shaky lately - was very solid for long stretches. Raphael Kofler once again did a solid job in the three-man defense. A wonderful goal! The Davi Scare Bitter for FC Südtirol: Simone Davi twists his ankle and injures his ankle. He tries to play on, but then has to be substituted (21'). Immediately afterwards, the White-Reds are lucky when Reggiana's Luca Vido's header hits the crossbar (24'). Compensation The most controversial Serie B professional scores the equalizer. Manolo Portanova (there are rape allegations against him) shoots after a corner was cleared too short in the FCS box and scores to make it 1:1 (31'). The victory Tommaso Arrigoni is not exactly known for his goal instinct, having scored just four goals in 96 Serie B matches. With his fifth goal, he fired FC Südtirol to victory: after a pass from the outstanding Molina, Arrigoni shot from 18 meters and hit the corner (40'). In the final phase of the game, Mateusz Praszelik put the lid on it after a fine combination involving Jacopo Martini and Silvio Merkaj (78'). The FCS continues next Saturday with a guest appearance at Sampdoria.
