A special summer for Niklas Pyyhtiä

Winter signing Niklas Pyyhtiä has made a huge impact at FC Südtirol and played a key role in their survival. However, a challenging summer now awaits the Finn.

In 18 matches, Pyyhtiä scored four goals and provided three assists for FCS. The dynamic midfielder has been a great asset to the White and Reds' game in the second half of the season. However, his loan contract with FC Bologna expires in the summer. FC Südtirol is keen to keep Pyyhtiä at their club, but other clubs are also said to have noticed him.

His contract with Bologna runs until 2026, and his market value is estimated at one million euros. Pyyhtiä has also been nominated by the Finnish FA for the upcoming U21 European Championship. This is another opportunity for the 21-year-old to step into the spotlight.

This year's U21 European Championship will take place in Slovakia from June 11 to 28. Pyyhtiä and Finland will face the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Denmark in Group D. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
