FC Südtirol: A relegation thriller awaits on Boxing Day
FC Südtirol has gained a lot of confidence with its victory in Bari. Will there be a successful result in the last game of the first half of the season?

Boxing Day is coming up! On St. Stephen's Day - December 26th - FC Südtirol will play against Cittadella at the Drusus Stadium from 15 p.m. This is a duel that is extremely explosive due to the league table situation. After 18 games, both FC Südtirol and Cittadella have 17 points and are fourth and third from last in the league table.
A win in this relegation clash would be hugely important for the White-Reds. The same applies to Cittadella, of course. Both bottom-placed teams have recently gained confidence with four points in two games. FCS won away in Bari on Saturday, while Cittadella beat Reggiana 3-1 at home.

Andrea Giorgini, who received his fifth yellow card against Bari and was therefore suspended for one matchday, will be missing against Cittadella. Coach Castori will also have to do without the injured Fabian Tait, Jasmin Kurtic, Andrea Masiello, Federico Davi and Alessandro Vimercati. Goalkeeper Eugenio Lamanna, however, will be in the squad for the first time. The experienced goalkeeper was given a contract until the end of the season on Tuesday.
