FCS individual review: Odogwus Wums and Davis stage fright

From Raphael Odowgu's dream goal to his disappointing strike partner to Simone Davis' second-longest appearance in the second division - we subject the FC Südtirol players to individual criticism and give them school grades.

Poluzzi 6 Cittadella shot twice on goal, "Jack" had no problem with Ambrosino's attempt before half-time, but he had no chance against Antonucci after the break.

Masiello 6,5 Directed the South Tyrolean defense as confidently as always. The Cittadella offensive forces were unable to make much of an impact before and after the 0-1 defeat, the opening goal was beautifully played, and even Masiello couldn't do anything about it.

Cellos 6 Stayed in the locker room during the break because a tendon was pinching. Until then, a solid performance, but without any major moves on the left wing.

Carretta 6 Completely unexpectedly, he was in the starting line-up – for only the third time under Bisoli. Bustled on the right wing and was not above defensive work. He really wanted to use the opportunity to show what he could do. In the end he had no tangible success, but he can definitely build on his performance in the season finale.

Tait 6,5:XNUMX Got better and better as the game went on. His best scenes came at the end with some strong defensive actions – and a good chance to make it 2-1. In the 82nd minute, a shot from the FCS captain sailed past the far post.

Belardinelli 6 Not as strong as last time. This time there were no big scenes. He really had to bite against the strong Cittadella professionals.

Rover 6,5 A changeable performance from the former Inter youth striker. A few bad passes and coordination problems caused coach Bisoli to complain a lot, but the preparatory work for the Odogwu equalizer came from him. And in the first half, too, it was his precise cross that Mazzocchi headed past the Cittadella box from a promising position. However, he missed the huge chance in the 62nd minute.

Matzocchi 5,5 Bisoli sticks with him, but he can't really repay the coach's trust. Had the best FCS chance of the first half in the 34th minute, but didn't put the ball in the goal with his header. Running and defensive work may be excellent, but for a striker that's simply not enough.

Odogwu 8 What a world goal! Even the most level-headed and calm FCS fan in the Drususstadion was blown away by the hit. If he had also scored the 89-2 in the 1th minute, which would have been easier than the equalizer before, then they would have had to bring him home in triumph on Saturday. Ended his goal ban after 106 days. He had been waiting for a goal since January 28th and the brace against Reggina - the spell was finally broken - just in time for the start of the playoffs.

David 6 Came for his second appearance after the injury break after the short appearance against SPAL. This time he was allowed in at halftime – for the injured Celli. He seemed to be struggling a bit with stage fright, but in the end he got the job done.

De Col 6 Initially – surprisingly – had to take a seat on the substitutes’ bench. Because Curto already had a yellow card, Bisoli brought him on at halftime. Not entirely flawless, but in the end it worked.

Fiordilino 6 Bisoli switched to a 4-3-3 with his triple substitution at the break - Fiordilino played a key role as a six. Of all people, he overlooked the completely free Antonucci when Cittadella scored the opening goal immediately after the restart. After that he found his way into the game better and pulled the strings in midfield.

Larrivey 7 Motivated to the core - that's how he presented himself after his substitution in the 60th minute. He went for every ball, didn't shy away from a challenge and also showed his class when he set up Rover's top chance in an exemplary manner. Crucial for catching up.

Lunette 6,5 Replaced Rover in the finish and really threw the Cittadella defense into disarray. Odogwu was unable to capitalize on his strong action in the 89th minute.

Bisoli 6 With a home win over Cittadella they could have taken a decisive step towards the semi-finals. The 1-1 is okay in the end, but it still feels like a missed opportunity. This time the starting line-up and his changes were not entirely coherent.

FCS individual review: Odogwus Wums and Davis stage fright

FC Südtirol was unable to achieve the expected result with a 1-1 draw against Cittadella at the weekend. Nevertheless, the game in the Drusus Stadium offers enough reason to take a closer look at the individual players.
