FCS ratings: Casiraghi excels, Davi falters

Adamonis 6 While he secured a point in the home game against Pescara, the Lithuanian was powerless to stop any of the goals conceded yesterday. He wasn't entirely confident before the corner kick that Izzo converted for the winning goal.

Joy 6 Initially on the right side of the back three, later on the left. He was not involved in the goals conceded.

Bordon 5 A stroke of luck after 50 seconds when, as the last man, he committed a foul and only escaped a red card because Masiello had joined the chase. He stayed in the locker room at halftime.

Masiello 6 The 40-year-old lasted around 70 minutes. He was a leader and defended with experience and skill. A solid performance.

El Kaouakibi 6 He moved from the back three to the right wing and initially struggled in his new position. He improved as the game progressed before returning to the back line after halftime.

Frigerio 6 The winter signing is an excellent fit for FC Südtirol. A real fighter and hard worker, but also a good footballer. He played on the wing at times after the break. He wasn't able to make a truly significant impact.

Tronchin 5 He repeatedly used his "iron foot" and ultimately received his eighth yellow card. An important player in the FCS midfield. Rarely brilliant in his play, but with an enormous range of movement off the ball.

Crnigoj 5,5 The Slovenian giant played in midfield for captain Tait, then – due to a lack of alternatives – he had to play on the right wing. Not his ideal position.

Federico Davi was involved in two goals conceded.

Federico Davi 5 Had Avellino not scored any goals, the Leifers player's rating would have been positive. He didn't have a bad game. However, he was directly involved in two of the goals conceded. Before the first goal, he completely misjudged a long ball, allowing Patierno to score behind him. And for the Campanians' winning goal, he was (too easily) shaken off by scorer Izzo. It's a shame Davi wasn't involved in the decisive moments of the game yesterday.

Tonin 5,5 Another "only" 45-minute appearance from the new signing, who, however, was no worse than his teammate Merkaj. FCS was heavily involved in defensive work, which affected the attackers.

Merkai 5,5 The Albanian's performance was not one that will be remembered for long. He worked hard and tried everything, but there were no shining moments.

Pecorino 6,5 He came on at halftime and scored his seventh goal of the season 30 minutes later. Because his marker Izzo lay down, the Sicilian had no trouble heading in the corner kick from close range.

Casiraghi 7,5 Substituted on alongside Pecorino, the veteran needed no time to settle in. He provided the cross that led to Patierno's handball. He converted the penalty himself. And he also took the corner that led to Pecorino's goal. You can't ask for more in 45 minutes.

Martinis 5,5 A bitter start for the midfielder, who made a mistake in his very first action. Besaggio got behind him and put Avellino ahead 2-1.

mancini 5,5 After Masiello could no longer continue, the young defender came on – and experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. Barely on the pitch, FCS scored to make it 2-2, but then came the cold shower.

Verdi without a grade He came on in the final minutes, when FCS were desperately searching for an equalizer. It wasn't to be. The former international player remained largely ineffective.

Castori 5,5 They had to do without several key players, but also rotated the squad heavily. Was that too much in the end? A hypothetical question. The fact is that FCS struggled with Avellino's well-organized possession-based game at the start. After the break, the South Tyroleans improved steadily, but conceded goals too easily. FCS's engine has sputtered somewhat; the midweek fixtures are taking their toll.
