FCS grades: Mister Indispensable and the defensive giant

Unlike last time in Frosinone, Jack Poluzzi didn't have to make any brilliant parades this time. De Col 7 Bisoli ordered him into the defensive back four instead of Curto. The FCS coach shouldn't regret his decision. It was good that referee Marco Di Bello didn't fall for Caleb Ekuban when he tried to award a penalty against Zaro in the 2th minute. After such an outstanding performance, the central defender really didn't deserve a penalty foul at the last minute.

Masiello 7 Celebrated too early in the 53rd minute about what was supposed to be his first FCS goal. The goal did not count after Odogwu's rugby action. But the veteran is not responsible for scoring goals. He has to prevent goals - he did that brilliantly against Genoa, his former club.

Cellos 6,5 If there is a zero at the back, the defense has done something right. Not as noticeable as De Col on the right side of defense, but the January newcomer also offered an almost flawless performance and implemented coach Bisoli's instructions perfectly on the left wing.

Rover 6,5 When he ruined a great South Tyrolean counter-attack opportunity in the 66th minute with a failed pass to Raphael Odogwu, Coach Bisoli complained. Otherwise there wasn't much to complain about in his performance. Once again he ran his heart out - first as a right winger, then as a hanging point behind Odogwu. The De Col – Rover duo even caused Genoa some difficulties.

Tait 6,5:XNUMX Strootman, Sturaro and Badelj were the Salurner's opponents on Monday. Some are tried and tested internationally and have a national team past, others are Serie B newcomers who only know international matches from watching. But there was no significant difference visible on the pitch. The trio will remember the name Tait, that's for sure.

Belardinelli 7 You could see how important he is for FC Südtirol when he wasn't there. He was sorely missed in the defeats against Bari and Ascoli. Odogwu 6,5 He had the best FCS chance in the 43rd minute, Genoa keeper Martinez ensured that Odogwu's goal ban continued. In the attack, as a solo leader, he once again put up his usual great fight - with total physical effort, even beyond what was allowed, as with Masiello's disallowed goal.

Lunette 6 Came on for Mazzocchi at the break and replaced Rover on the right wing, who was called into attack. Some strong actions, but in the end without any tangible success.
