FCS grades: Only a few can convince

Poluzzi 5,5 Held strong against Vandeputte and Brighenti in the early stages. But the FCS keeper didn't look good when he conceded the goal. Iemmello's long-range shot didn't seem unstoppable.

Giorgini 6 In Vandeputte I had the currently strongest Catanzaro professional as an opponent. In the end, he got the job done, albeit with difficulty.

Cuomo 5,5 So far, he has not been able to fill the big shoes that Zaro left in the South Tyrolean central defense. With a lot of room for improvement.

Masiello 7 He also held the defense together against Catanzaro and ironed out the mistakes of his teammates. After 14 minutes, he prevented Vandeputte from scoring a goal thanks to his committed intervention.

David 6 Returned after his injury break and was as strong as usual, but not very efficient in the forward game. Made way for Siega in the final quarter of an hour.

Deer 5 Was on the pitch for the entire duration of the game, but in the end he achieved little or nothing. Made a lot of mistakes - both on the right and on the left, where he switched midway through the second half.

Tait 5,5:XNUMX Not having his best time right now. The captain often just ran after the ball-confident and technically strong Catanzaro midfield. After all, he tested guest goalie Fulignati with a header.

Broch 5,5 A shot into the touchline in the first half and an attempt after the break that posed no danger to the guests. Not much else came from him. His dynamism was missed.

Rover 5 Had to go out for break. As Casiraghi's replacement on the left flank, he sorely missed the injured top scorer. Nobody demanded Casiraghi's playing class from him. But speed and switching play are certainly Rover's strengths. He owed both. The free kick that flew several meters over the visitors' goal was typical of his performance.

Lunette 5,5 Couldn't repeat his strong Palermo performance. Tried hard, but had no luck as a striker. His best scene came after the break when Bisoli moved him to the left wing. A little later he had to leave.

Odogwu 5 Signed off at the front, there was hardly any danger. Played his weakest game of the season so far. Even with a real striker like Pecorino at his side, things didn't work out for the 32-year-old Italo-Nigerian this time.

Pecorino 5,5 Came on for Rover at half-time and revived the South Tyrolean offensive game, but he wasn't really compelling in front of the opponent's goal.

Cisco 7 Together with Masiello, the best FCS player against Catanzaro. He came on as a substitute for Lunetta after 66 minutes and did what Ciervo hadn't done before on the right wing: he looked for 1-on-1 situations and created superior numbers and goal situations with his dribbling.

Lonardi no grade Came on for Broh in the final quarter of an hour, but was unable to make any significant impact.

Winning no grade Made his season debut in the 75th minute and promptly picked up a yellow card.

Vinetot no note Was substituted for Cuomo at the end, but not as a central defender, but as an additional offensive force, which underlines the currently thin staffing level in the South Tyrolean attack. The fact that the Frenchman was one of the most dangerous FCS players up front in the final minutes does not speak for Odogwu and his colleagues in attack.

Bisoli 6 The FCS coach has tried everything, but there are currently no options up front. Without Casiraghi, Merkaj and Rauti, he had to call a central defender like Vinetot into the attack in the last few minutes in order to increase South Tyrol's offensive power. Too many key players fell well short of expectations against Catanzaro - from goalkeeper Poluzzi to captain Tait to Rover, Ciervo and Odogwu. Lunetta as a hanging tip had worked in Palermo, but not this time. Cisco's substitution after 66 minutes provided a lot of momentum and posed major problems for the guests from Calabria, but they couldn't equalize.

FCS grades: Only a few can convince

FC Südtirol has been without a win for five games. There was also nothing to be gained against Catanzaro on Saturday in the 0-1 defeat. Only a few FCS players were able to convince against the Serie B surprise team.
