FCS grades: From a weak debut and a low form

Poluzzi 6,5 It wasn't the FCS goalie's fault that the game was lost. Poluzzi held strong and everything there was to hold. The yellow card was a bit unnecessary because of (inflamed) criticism.

Giorgini 6 A few carelessnesses in the first half, otherwise a solid performance from the right-back. Had very unpleasant opponents with the lively and technically strong Palermo attackers around Mancuso & Co.

Cuomo 6 Reclaimed Vinetot's regular spot in central defense. In conjunction with his neighbor Masiello, he had star striker Brunori well under control.

Masiello 6 The veteran must have remembered old times in Serie A in the cauldron of Palermo - because such a spectacle doesn't happen very often in Serie B. His performance was as always: rock solid.

Cagnano 5 Was allowed to play for the FCS in Serie B for the first time. The left-back bears a large part of the blame for the Palermo team's winning goal. Goalscorer Aurelio escaped behind him - a serious mistake.

Deer 7 This 21-year-old is the surprise at FCS so far. Against Palermo, the Sassuolo loanee was extremely playful and strong. The dream long-range goal was his first professional goal.

Otherwise he would have used one of his two good options. The header in the second half in particular was a great chance.

Odogwu 5,5 Is he tired or does the FCS storm tank simply lack form and a congenial partner? Odogwu has been in hiding since Merkaj's failure. Even yesterday there were only a few actions about the Italian-Nigerian.

Pecorino 5,5 Came on for Odogwu, but remained similarly pale. There has to be more to come from the Juventus loan, because Pecorino hasn't really made an impression so far.

Rover 5,5 Bisoli brought it on in the 2nd half. Rover first acted as a hanging tip, then on the wing. He couldn't set any accents. His season remains a messed up one so far.

Lonardi 6 Somewhat surprisingly, he stayed on the bench at the start. Tried to order and organize the game after being substituted on. Not a bad performance - especially since last year's Serie C professional has never played in front of such an impressive backdrop.

Rauti without a note After his starting eleven against Modena, the Torino loanee had to be on the bench again this time. Got a few minutes in the final stages as a second striker behind Pecorino.

Ghiringhelli without note Came on as a substitute to keep the draw over time. That didn't work.

Bisoli 6 In contrast to the last games, Bisoli refrained from strategic and tactical experiments against Palermo. The FCS played in their usual 4-4-2 formation and was successful. Palermo's life was made difficult with great willingness to run and a lot of effort. Bisoli prepared the game well and did his job. The coach can't do anything about the fact that his players lose their assignment in the final phase, with an essentially banal cross. Nevertheless, the first defeat of the season will bother him extremely.
