"In this Serie B you can lose against any team, but conversely you can also win," said Fabrizio Castori on Friday morning at the press conference in the FCS Center in Rungg. The new coach of FC Südtirol should know, after all he has more than 500 games under his belt as a coach in Italy's second division.
Castori has seen everything in Serie B. That's why the encounter with Bari is nothing special for the 70-year-old. "I meet 5 or 6 ex-players every week," laughs Castori. Shortly afterwards, however, the FCS coach becomes serious. It's about his team, which is currently at the bottom of the Serie B table. "We're still a long way from where I want to be," says Castori. At the same time, however, he emphasizes that the team has made progress in the training week: "The road we're on is the right one."
Few changes planned
The formation (3-5-2) will not be changed, says Castori: "I don't like constantly changing. How are automatisms supposed to develop?" The football coach emphasises that he liked the tactical approach in the debut against Mantova - but: "It is important to find the right balance between offense and defense."There will be few changes in personnel. Hamza El Kaouakibi is back and Luca Ceppitelli is fit enough to be in the starting eleven. Jasmin Kurtic is still out and will not be available for the match against Bari.
