FCS madness: last minute win against Sampdoria

In Bolzano, many high-profile coaches have been on the opposing team's sidelines. The name Andrea Pirlo attracted additional fans to the stadium that afternoon. No wonder that the Drususstadion was completely sold out for the first time this season. There were also around 5500 Sampdoria supporters among the 650 spectators who made the journey to South Tyrol despite the botched start to the season. They saw a game in which both teams showed little humor and offensive actions were a rarity. Nevertheless, in the end it was 3:1 for the FCS. The Drususstadion was completely thrilled.

Coach Pierpaolo Bisoli initially started without his driver Daniele Casiraghi, who was not yet at 100 percent after an injury during the international break. The inclusion of the 30-year-old at half-time livened up the FCS game. The offensive man is indispensable for the Bisoli team, and that was evident again that day. Fabian Tait & Co. celebrated one of their best victories since joining the league. This is remarkable because there was no indication of this until half time. FCS jumped to 6th place in the table thanks to their success, while Sampdoria is still struggling in 17th place.
