Hellas Verona and the looming relegation

Hellas Verona continues to be stuck in a rut: The Veronese team lost their Serie A match against Udinese Calcio 1-3 on Monday evening.

For the first time since 2019, a seven-year hiatus, relegation to Serie B is looming. There, the traditional club would most likely face FC Südtirol. Hellas currently sits at the bottom of the table with 14 points from 22 games – level on points with Pisa. Safety is currently four points away.

Recently, striker Giovane was also sold to Napoli. Former FCS coach Paolo Zanetti is still in charge on the Verona bench. Verona's last victory dates back to mid-December. After the match, the home team was booed at the Bentegodi Stadium.
