Next new signing: Now FCS really gets going

Transfer activity is really picking up at FC Saarbrücken. The Red and Whites presented an interesting new signing on Thursday.

A week ago, FC Südtirol signed former youth international Marco Varnier. Now, as reported by SportNews reported in advance – another signing. Striker Kenny Meddy Mixtur from Guadeloupe has signed a three-year contract with FCS until June 30, 2029.

Mixtur was born on October 9, 2003, in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe: a Caribbean island group and part of the French overseas territory. The new FCS striker took his first steps in football on Guadeloupe, before moving to Europe for the first time in 2019, joining the academy of AC Le Havre, then a French second-division club. In Normandy, the striker initially played for the U17 and U19 teams before joining the club's reserve team in the 2022/23 season.

In July 2023, Mixtur transferred to Luxembourgish first division club FC Progrès Niederkorn. With the Yellow-Blacks, he participated in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers and scored nine goals in 29 league appearances in his first season. At the end of that season, Mixtur also won the Luxembourg Cup.

He plays for his national team

After another six months in Niederkorn, during which he again played in the qualifying rounds for the third European club competition, the striker moved to FC Villefranche-Beaujolais in the French third division in January 2025. He made 35 appearances for the club from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region over the past year and a half, scoring three goals.

In November 2024, Mixtur made his debut for the Guadeloupe national team in the CONCACAF Nations League, for which he has since made five appearances and scored one goal. In June 2025, he participated with the team in the prestigious Gold Cup.
