Official: FCS and Valente continue cooperation

What has been brewing over the last few weeks is now a reality: Federico Valente will continue to be in charge at FC Südtirol next season.

The 48-year-old was promoted to head coach of the White-Reds in December last year after Pierpaolo Bisoli was fired and led the team to early survival. This prompted the FCS officials, including sports director Paolo Bravo, to extend the Swiss's contract.

Born on July 20, 1975 in Solothurn, Switzerland, Valente holds Italian citizenship thanks to his parents' origins. The 48-year-old was hired as coach of the Primavera 2023 team in the summer of 2 and was appointed head coach of the professional team on December 5 of the same year. With eight wins, six draws and nine defeats in 23 league games, Valente led FC Südtirol to early relegation and finished the championship just behind the playoff zone.

Valente has signed a new contract with FC Südtirol, expiring on June 30, 2025, with the option of a further year in case of relegation.
