“If you're successful, the party is better”: That's what FCS coach Federico Valente said before the last game of the season against Palermo. It wasn't a success in the end, as the White Reds suffered a narrow 5.000-0 defeat against Palermo in front of more than 1 fans in the almost sold-out Drususstadion. A season in which FC Südtirol experienced all the emotions of football. The White Reds started the championship at full steam, but then fell into a deep hole that cost successful coach Pierpaolo Bisoli the coaching chair. With Primavera coach Federico Valente promoted to head coach (and the real winter newcomers à la Jasmin Kurtic), the South Tyroleans stabilized themselves and in the end confidently achieved their desired stay in the league.

While it was all about honor for the FCS on Friday evening, their opponent Palermo was still playing for a good starting position for the playoffs. In the end, it was Palermo's Salim Diakité who lost out to South Tyrolean backup goalie Giacomo Drago after an hour and made the almost 600 fans who had traveled with him cheer.

Emotional farewell for Vinetot Things got emotional at FC Südtirol in the end. Kevin Vinetot played his 184th and last competitive game for the FCS. The French defender has played a key role in the history of the White Reds over the last seven years, including the legendary promotion fairytale in the 2021/22 season.
